No, never. The card is added to Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), apps already on their phone. Only you and your team use the FidStar app to scan.
What if a customer doesn't have NFC?
The QR code printed on the plaque opens exactly the same page. Any recent smartphone can scan it with its camera.
How does the 14-day trial work?
For two weeks, you use FidStar like a subscriber: the Wallet card, the plaque, the app, your team. No credit card required. Guided setup and onboarding (remotely or on site, depending on your area).
At the end of the 14 days, you choose the plan that suits you: monthly, yearly (2 months free) or multiple shops. During the trial, you're not committed to anything: if FidStar isn't right for you, you stop. If you continue, the subscription runs for 12 months (launch price guaranteed during that period) and the NFC plaque is billed €30, one-time. After 12 months, it's monthly, with no commitment.
Can I see my customers' contact details?
You see the first name, customer code and card history, but not the email or phone. That's intentional: customers sign up more easily when they know their details won't be used for marketing.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The app shows “Service temporarily unavailable”. Note visits on paper, then add the stamps from your account once everything is back. Every manual addition is logged, with its reason.
Can my employees cheat?
Every stamp keeps the employee's name and the time. You set a maximum per customer per day, a delay between two scans, and you decide who can redeem a reward or add stamps manually.
Can I change my reward later?
Yes, anytime from the app. Cards already issued update automatically and stamps your customers have already earned are always kept.
How do I stop if I'm not happy?
During the 14-day trial, a simple email is enough, free of charge. Once subscribed, the subscription runs for 12 months; you request cancellation by email and it takes effect at the end of those 12 months. After that, it's monthly, with no commitment, cancellable anytime with 1 month's notice. The plaque stays with you and can be reactivated if you come back.
Will FidStar evolve?
Yes. FidStar is updated regularly. Among the ideas we're exploring: messages to your customers on their card, multiple reward tiers, a points programme… They'll arrive with updates, with no announced date, straight into your app.
